The Corona mile supports Radiohjälpen's collection during the pandemic.

The Corona mile is a life changing virtual race that is meant to keep motivation for exercise and physical activity through out the pandemic of covid-19. According to the Swedish public health authority physical activity is recommended even through these restrictive times, as long as you are not sick. We do not recommend anyone with any symptoms of covid-19 to participate in The Corona mile, your own health comes first.

In  times when race after race are cancelled or moved we decided to change this negative trend. But how can we do this? Our thoughts went to the digital world to be able to motivate everyone. We saw a virtual race as the perfect option. Everyone can be part of it and  can decide where, when and at what pace to run at. A race where you can participate at your own terms.

We have now finished the first Corona mile race and together with 9500 participants we became the season of 2019/2020 8th biggest running race. And we could donate over 1.1 million SEK to Radiohjälpen.

We want as many people as possible to be able to participate and have therefore decided that you can split the 10km distance into shorter runs. This opens up for a lot of people to be able to join us to find new motivations and goals for them self.

After requests from the last race we have opened up a 21km (half marathon) distance. If you register for this there is no possibility to split this distance.

With great partners we will donate all surplus* funds to Radiohjälpen.

Be part of this and help us help others by registering for The Corona mile.

The first thing to do is to register for the race at where you will be given a starting number that you can find here.

Next, you download the app RaceONE. This is the app where you will register your results and this will be connected to your given starting number.

During the period of 18-28th of June you can run and register the race. This can be done on any of the days during the time period. The race must be registered befor 23:59 on the 28th.

There are two different ways to participate:

Alt 1: You run/walk/roll the distance that you are registered for. This you can do in any pace you like, there is no time limit. Register the race in the app and you are done. The app works either with GPS and follows your run and automatically registers your results. Or you can manually register the distance and add a screenshot from any other running app or watch. For further instructions on the app, CLICK HERE (video is in Swedish)

Alt 2: If 10km feels a bit too far but you still want to join, then you have the option to split the distance according to your preference. The total distance needs to be 10km but the pace or how many times you split it is up to you. To register this you can’t use the GPS function in the app RaceONE. Here you need to use another app and then add screenshots to RaceONE when you manually add the result. For instructions CLICK HERE (video in Swedish).

What would a race be without a medal?

Everyone that registers gets a medal sent to them after a finished race. There is the option to add a Coronamilen T-shirt for an extra 100kr. The shirt will be sent to you with the medal.

There is also an option to exclude the medal and the cost that would have been for it goes to the charity.

The first 200 that register gets a bonus from our partner BUFF.

Thanks to our partners we will have a lottery for those who share their experience on social media and tag the pictures with @coronamilen and #coronamilen

*Of the registration fee a minimum of 120SEK will be donated. This after costs such as shipping, administration, purchases, registration and app service.
